The role that money and wealth play in the Gospel
2013/05/19
This past week, the Powerball jackpot was up around 500 million dollars! To many it represents a dream of a care-free life full of travel, leisure and luxury. The Hellfire teaching in light of history and Scripture
2013/05/12
Five weeks ago we began a discussion on the highly controversial topic of hellfire and the Bible and whether or not these two belong together. We based that conversation on a 2012 documentary entitled “Hellbound?” written and produced by Kevin Miller. Kevin joined us for that discussion as we mainly focused on the Old Testament and non-biblical history. Well, Kevin is back with us for this follow-up as we reopen the book on hell and the very piercing question – are most people hellbound?

Sheep, goats and the final judgment
2013/05/05
Jesus was a master story teller. He knew how to keep people’s attention while teaching important and difficult things by using very commonplace subjects like farming, fishing, servants and weddings. Most of the time the majority of his audience did not fully understand his lessons, and Jesus actually wanted it that way. On this program we will look at the parable of the sheep and the goats and see who Jesus is talking about and what time period he is talking about. Are sheep good and goats bad?

Finding the "faith factor" in the 21st century
2013/04/28
Is Christian faith different? Is it somehow more magical or extensive than the faith of other religions? Is it less credible than the faith we have in science or medicine? Is Christian faith based on long-standing traditions, feelings, the Bible, or what church you go to? Is Christian faith transformative? Should Christian faith be a recommended staple in everyone’s diet?
